Make a Bequest

Become a Legacy Lion by making a bequest to Panthera in your will.

Legacy Lions are donors who have indicated that Panthera is included in their estate plans. Members of this special group are named in perpetuity on Panthera donor listings. You can make a bequest by including language in your will that names Panthera as the beneficiary of your entire estate, or you can designate a specific dollar amount, a particular asset, or a fixed percentage of your estate.  You can bequeath all or a percentage of your residuary estate to Panthera after you have provided for all other beneficiaries.  You can name Panthera as a contingent beneficiary by stipulating that Panthera receive all or a portion of your estate if your named beneficiaries do not survive you.  There are many options and considerable tax benefits.  We suggest that you meet with your financial or legal advisor to understand all of the implications of a bequest.

Sample Testamentary Language

A general bequest: "I give (_____dollars) (or a specific asset) (or ____percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to Panthera Corporation for its general purposes."

If you are considering a bequest, we encourage you to meet with your attorney to draft or update your will.  During this process, please call Panthera at 646-786-0400 to discuss whether the language you have used achieves your bequest goals.
