Goal Met! ‘Let Lions Live’ Campaign Raises Over $30,000 to Protect Africa’s Last Lion

Panthera

We are thrilled to announce that Panthera surpassed its goal of raising $30,000 in a 30 day period through the ‘Let Lions Live’ campaign to conserve the fewer than 30,000 remaining lions in Africa. Thanks to a generous donor, every dollar of the more than $30,000 raised for the ‘Let Lions Live’ campaign has been matched. This means that over $60,000 will now go directly to the field to support Panthera’s lion conservation initiatives throughout Africa. Your contributions will support initiatives such as aerial flights to survey and track lion populations, the purchase of handheld GPS units and camping equipment for lion survey teams, and the salaries of local guardians protecting lions and well-trained park guards who secure and help survey lion ranges.

This is an incredible accomplishment, and we could not have done it without your charitable contributions and efforts to spread the word about ‘Let Lions Live’ to friends, family, colleagues, and others. On behalf of the lions of Africa, and from everyone at Panthera, thank you for your critical support in helping Panthera protect lions across Africa.
