#GivingTuesday for Panthera
At the start of this year’s holiday season, Panthera participated in #GivingTuesday – a global campaign that encourages more, better and smarter charitable giving on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving – December 2nd.
On this one day, with a special challenge pool doubling every dollar donated, our supporters from across the globe came together to raise over $470,000 for wild cats!
To those of you who contributed and helped Panthera spread the word about #GivingTuesday for wild cats, we sincerely thank you for your incredible support. Your contributions are making a real impact in helping Panthera protect some of the world’s most endangered and magnificent species.
If you haven’t yet given, make a contribution now to secure a future for wild cats in 2015 and beyond.Donate Now

#GivingTuesday DIY Fundraising for Panthera
This year, Panthera reached out to our supporters to help fundraise for wild cats on #GivingTuesday!
Although #GivingTuesday has now passed, there’s still time for you to help support the future of wild cats by starting a DIY fundraising campaign online, planning a cat-themed party, hosting a screening of Panthera’s jaguar conservation film, My Pantanal, and more.
All participants who submit Sign-Up Forms and donations before the end of the year (Dec. 31st) will receive a letter of thanks, and gifts for giving based on the amount raised (while supplies last):
- $500 = Panthera Tote Bag
- $1,000 = Panthera Tote Bag and a Panthera hat
- $3,000 = A signed copy of Panthera’s CEO Dr. Alan Rabinowitz’s new book, “An Indomitable Beast: The Remarkable Journey of the Jaguar”
- $5,000 = A signed copy of Panthera’s CEO Dr. Alan Rabinowitz’s new book, “An Indomitable Beast: The Remarkable Journey of the Jaguar,” and a silver Panthera Fountain Pen
Now in its third year, #GivingTuesday is a global movement that aims to inspire meaningful and charitable contributions to causes that are changing our world for the better on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.
Organized by 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, #GivingTuesday takes its place alongside annual shopping days like ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Cyber Monday,’ and represents a call to action to show that holiday shopping and the holiday season can be about both giving and giving back. Harnessing the power of social media, individuals, charitable organizations and businesses around the world are joining together to promote this single day of giving.
