Nick Beale has joined Panthera in the role of Law Enforcement Specialist, working through Panthera’s Tigers Forever Program. Bringing with him a degree in Wildlife Conservation, Nick began his career running field research projects and expeditions in East Africa and Latin America. After returning to the UK, Nick was employed as a high level security advisor, working with both the public and private sectors. Nick is a highly trained and motivated individual with specialist skills that will be utilized to assist in the protection of tigers and the landscapes they occupy.
In his new role with Panthera, Nick will focus on assessing the current anti-poaching and broader security measures in Tigers Forever sites throughout Asia. He will be working with Panthera to increase the security of these sites by providing specialist training and technical support to front line staff and management agencies. In due course, Nick will also increase Panthera’s engagement with leading international law enforcement agencies, such as INTERPOL and UNEP, helping Panthera channel more resources to tiger protection throughout the species’ range.
