Sandy Pereira

Sandy Pereira serves as a Field Scientist for Panthera´s Honduras jaguar program. She received her degree in biology at the National Autonomous University of Honduras, and has been a volunteer as an Environmental Educator for various private companies, as well as a leader at the Mountaineering Honduran Federation, FEHDME. Sandy has additionally worked on wildlife surveys for USAID projects in Honduras and has received several scholarships, including a Biological Conservation award from the Latin American Botanical Network. Having joined Panthera in 2010, Sandy plays an integral role by assisting in the implementation of camera trap surveys, interviews, and local community development initiatives in Honduras.
