Michelle Peziol joined the Panthera Puma Project in July of 2013. Since then she has been passionately tracking these elusive cats and contributing to all aspects of the project. Peziol graduated from State University College at Fredonia with a degree in Geology but quickly transitioned into studying wildlife. She is a Field Technician with a specialty in reading the tracks and sign left behind by wildlife. She has worked in Washington state at Alderleaf Wilderness College teaching students naturalist field skills and biology. In March of 2013 she became the first woman in North America to score a 100% on Cybertracker's wildlife tracking certification. She is now pursuing a PhD program with the TCP analyzing the ecological contributions cougars make to their natural communities.
