Director, Conservation Technology
Meredith S. Palmer, Ph.D., is Director of Conservation Technology at Panthera. A wildlife ecologist and conservation technologist, she has spent more than a decade building and scaling the tools that turn biodiversity data into conservation decisions. She brings deep expertise in in situ and remote sensors, artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, and software development, along with the practical work of moving new tools from prototype to field deployment.
Before joining Panthera, Meredith founded and led the Conservation Technology team at Fauna & Flora and served as a Conservation Scientist at Yale University. Underpinning her technical work is substantive expertise in wild felid ecology and conservation. Meredith began her career with the Serengeti Lion Project and has contributed to big-cat research and conservation across Eastern and Southern Africa.
